Mustang is a rock band formed in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2013, when bassist Boris Boras decided to form the proffesional band that would play original music. Their first live performance was an open air concert on New Year's Eve in Mostar, with band Zoster. The band performed a mixture of cover versions of rock songs and original compositions, written in English, which were well received by the audience.
In spring 2014 Mustang hired manager Zlatko Suhonić Zlaya, well known for his work with many rock and metal bands. The band played on Mostar Summer Festival, in June 2014, along with respected bands like Jinx and Partibrejkers. Due to its characteristic heavy sound, Mustang soon became regular guest on moto parties, and even dedicated song "Full Throttle" to bikers. Set of concerts and festivals in Herzegovina soon followed, and the band earned a growing fan base in the underground music community. Their great work couldn't go unnoticed, and the Belgrade label One Records expressly signed a contract with the band. In November 2014, Mustang entered the studio to begin recording the first album, and recorded its first original songs, "Again I Feel Alive", "Full Throttle" and "Not There". In September 2015 the band continued recording, finishing in December same year. The album contains 11 songs, written in English. Mastering was done in USA by American engineer James Plotkin.
On March 12, 2016 the band's debut album, On with the Fight, was released by the famous record label One Records (Whitesnake, Toto, Blackmore's Night, Divlje Jagode, Riblja Čorba, Smak etc.).
In March 2017, Mustang recorded their first music video, live performance of the song "Hey".
In July 2017 it was announced that Mustang was chosen to be an opening act for ex-Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley's both concerts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Sarajevo and Mostar.
Growing demand for the various TV shows and radio appearances, their growing fan base, as well as the fact that the band was an opening act or played with many famous bands such as Divlje Jagode, Atomsko Sklonište, Osvajači, Opća Opasnost, Aerodrom etc., and played numerous concerts in four different countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro, are all perfect examples that the band is on the right track and that their work is being greatly appreciated.
In January 2020, Mustang released their second music video, for the song "Full Throttle", followed by "On with the Fight" in October same year.
The band continued on same path and is currently recording their second album, Unchain the Force, showing that they think seriously and showing no signs of slowing down.
Often called "Bosnian kings of ballads“, they have more than 20,000 followers on social media, counting Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and ReverbNation altogether.
